I've done a lot of cool stuff.
Here's some of it.
I was an intel-sts semifinalist.
As a result of my research on the use of pheromones as a means of control for invasive species, I was nationally recognized by the Intel Science Talent Search, the country’s oldest and most prestigious science competition.
I Studied at Oxford
I spent my junior year abroad studying at Hertford College at the University of Oxford. While there I wrote twelve ten-page papers in eight weeks. Twice.
I maintained a 4.0 GPA
Well, technically it’s a 3.95, but I’m rounding up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Academics have always been important to me, so I’m proud to share this achievement.
I was inducted to pbk
Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest honor society in the United States. (Not a fraternity, like I initially thought.) RBG is a member. Teddy Roosevelt was too.
I went to nyfw as a journalist.
When I was 16, on a lark, I decided to email Who What Wear and ask them to give me a press pass to New York Fashion Week. They hired me on the spot, and I wrote them an article from the front lines!
I threw dinner parties
I love having people over! Sometimes I even do whole three-course meal, complete with a formal invite, like the one (partially) picture above.
I CALLED THE ENDING OF BIg Little Lies and Sharp Objects
You could say it’s hard to pull one past me.
I was shortlisted for HBO’s College contest
For an iambic pentameter sonnet I wrote about Game of Thrones. (The contest was GOT themed.)
I made this pie.
I wrote my own recipe for this pie. It is a chocolate fudge pie with a graham cracker crust. It is covered in peanut-butter whipped cream and is garnished with pretzels, potato chips, and peanuts given the muddy-buddy treatment. It was pretty great.
I interned during paris fashion week
I joined Rag & Bone’s wholesale team for a week while in-between academic terms.
I won at bar trivia
I love trivia; I even founded my high school’s trivia team. So you can imagine I get pretty into bar trivia. (And come out on top fairly often.)
I was chosen to be the commencement speaker
I gave the commencement address for the cognitive science graduation ceremony.
